The Enterprise Technology & Security Summer Internship Program is designed for emerging technologists looking to gain practical, hands-on experience in the field of cloud engineering. This critical program within Enterprise Technology & Security Services provides passionate early career professionals with real-world exposure to groundbreaking technology. Interns in the Cloud Engineer Track will work alongside experienced engineers to modernize the way Citizens stores and accesses data. This collaborative environment allows interns to enhance their engineering expertise while contributing to cloud implementation opportunities. As a Cloud Engineer Intern, you will support the implementation of cloud-based solutions throughout the organization. Your role will involve offering technical support to end-users and partners of these cloud solutions, as well as assisting in monitoring the performance of cloud applications and solutions. You will analyze opportunities for improvement, ensuring that the cloud services provided are efficient and effective. The internship program spans 10 weeks, beginning in early June 2025, and offers a strong understanding of Cloud Services at Citizens. Interns will benefit from mentorship, exposure to senior leadership, and participation in various activities aimed at developing professional skills. These activities include orientation with all ETS interns, professional development workshops on topics such as Personal Branding and Communicating with Impact, social activities like sporting events and a bank-wide intern BBQ, and dedicated community service activities. High-performing interns who express interest in a career within Enterprise Technology & Security may receive an offer to return as a full-time colleague in the Enterprise Technology & Security Development Program (ETSDP) upon graduation. This full-time program is designed to help rising professionals build meaningful careers in software, network/systems, data or cloud engineering, technology risk, and security.
