About the position

As a Cloud Engineer at Booz Allen, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients modernize their IT infrastructure by leveraging cutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms. Your primary focus will be on designing, defining, developing, testing, and debugging cloud solution components in collaboration with fellow cloud architects and engineers who specialize in platforms such as Office 365, Azure, and AWS. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow your skills within a DevOps framework, where you will create and manage container applications using tools like Kubernetes. Responsibilities

  • Design, define, develop, test, and debug cloud solution components.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects and engineers specializing in Office 365, Azure, and AWS.
  • Support the migration, architecting, building, and deploying of systems and applications in cloud platforms.
  • Create and manage container applications using Kubernetes within a DevOps framework.
  • Utilize internal Azure, AWS, and GCP labs to explore solutions for client challenges.
  • Modernize legacy computing platforms and applications, as well as create new systems from scratch.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with design, deployment, and management of Cloud environments, including AWS or Azure.
  • Knowledge of system administration of Windows or Linux Operating Systems.
  • Ability to support the migration, architecting, building, and deploying of systems and applications in Cloud platforms.
  • Secret Clearance required.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to obtain 8570 IAT II or III certification within 3 months of hire.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of DoD accreditation processes.
  • Top Secret Clearance.
  • Associate's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree a plus.
  • AWS or Azure certification.
