About the position

As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for creating cloud-based technical architectures that meet client needs and leverage cloud capabilities. This role involves developing cloud-based solutions to address complex challenges, utilizing the latest cloud technologies, and ensuring compliance with standards. You will work closely with clients to inform strategy and design, recommend tools and solutions, and broaden your expertise in cloud-native services, particularly within AWS, while supporting critical systems for the Federal government.

Responsibilities

  • Develop cloud-based solutions to address client challenges.
  • Create cloud-based technical architectures that meet client needs.
  • Inform strategy and design to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Recommend tools and solutions based on research and knowledge of cloud resources.
  • Utilize AWS cloud infrastructure and vendor-native cloud services.
  • Maintain technical documentation and participate in technical briefs to leadership and clients.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software programming applications or enterprise applications using Agile methods.
  • Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and resources, including CloudWatch and Cloud Trail.
  • Experience with full stack development tools such as Spring Boot, NodeJS, Angular, and Linux or Bash.
  • Experience with cloud migration technologies including AWS ECS, EKS, and EC2.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
  • HS diploma or GED.
  • Cloud Certification, including AWS.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with patent or intellectual property processes.
  • Experience with SRE methodologies.
  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
  • Experience with test-driven development and Section 508 compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar field.
