Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cloud architects and engineers to design, develop, test, and deploy cloud solution components.
  • Utilize AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch in cloud implementations.
  • Work within a DevOps framework to create and manage container applications using Kubernetes.
  • Explore innovative solutions to client challenges using internal AWS Labs.
  • Modernize legacy computing platforms and applications, as well as develop new solutions from scratch.
  • Engage with stakeholders to deliver the right technical solutions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
  • 4+ years of experience in the implementation of cloud technologies, specifically AWS.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, including Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Proficiency in programming with Python for automation and scripting tasks.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with data manipulation libraries, including Pandas, and data serialization formats, including JSON and XML.
  • Knowledge of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS models.
  • Understanding of networking concepts and AWS networking services, including VPC, subnets, security groups, and routing.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required.
  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering in lieu of a degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with managing and optimizing databases on AWS, including RDS and DynamoDB.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and methodologies.
  • Ability to design and implement RESTful APIs and work with third-party APIs.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Certification.
