About the position

The Cloud Engineer position at M.C. Dean involves working within the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit to design, engineer, integrate, operate, and maintain electronic security services. The role focuses on cloud adoption and migration, providing technical guidance for modular operating systems and security designs to protect workloads hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The position requires a strong background in engineering and cloud technologies, with an emphasis on collaboration and innovation to enhance customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the customer's cloud adoption and migration strategy.
• Provide technical guidance and direction for designing modular operating system baselines.
• Engineer a modular security design to protect workload hosting services for AWS.
• Champion SysOps and DevOps concepts for the customer.
• Support integration of open-source frameworks/products into the customer's production landscape.
• Develop and apply requirements and specifications documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in relevant fields.
• Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
• General programming skills with knowledge of SQL, Java, Python, and/or Ruby.
• Knowledge of virtual networks and general network management functions.
• Cloud database management skills with knowledge of MySQL and Hadoop.
