About the position

The Cloud Engineer/Sr. DevOps Engineer role is focused on managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure, particularly within AWS, while leveraging DevOps practices to enhance deployment and operational efficiency. The position requires a strong background in cloud services, containerization, and infrastructure as code, with a specific emphasis on life sciences experience. The role involves collaboration with team members to mentor and guide them in best practices and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Utilize containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Monitor and troubleshoot cloud services using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and AWS CloudWatch.
• Build and maintain immutable infrastructure using tools like Packer.
• Mentor and guide team members in DevOps practices and cloud technologies.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or a related role.
• Strong expertise in AWS services including EC2, RDS, EKS, S3, IAM, ALB, and NLB.
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD tools, specifically GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Solid experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or AWS CloudWatch.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Experience in building immutable infrastructure and utilizing tools like Packer for image building.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and experience mentoring and guiding team members.
