About the position

As a Cloud Engineer at Randstad Digital, you will play a crucial role in configuring and deploying applications in a public cloud environment, specifically focusing on AWS and Azure. Your primary responsibility will be to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation Templates (CFT), or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates. You will also be expected to have a solid understanding of Unix/Linux systems, as well as experience with database virtualization tools like Delphix. In this position, you will leverage your expertise in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools, including GitHub, Artifactory, and Jenkins, to automate various administrative tasks. Your innovative thinking will be essential in creating automated solutions using programming languages such as Python, Groovy, Java, and shell scripting. Additionally, you will be responsible for configuring alerts and monitors to ensure a highly available platform, as well as providing on-call support and managing incidents effectively. Strong communication and influencing skills are vital, as you will collaborate with various teams to ensure smooth operations and successful project delivery. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on DevOps practices and tools. Responsibilities

  • Configure and deploy applications in a public cloud environment like AWS or Azure.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CFT, or ARM templates.
  • Utilize database virtualization tools such as Delphix.
  • Manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes using tools like GitHub, Artifactory, and Jenkins.
  • Automate administrative tasks using Python, Groovy, Java, and shell scripting.
  • Configure alerts and monitors to maintain a highly available platform.
  • Provide on-call support and manage incident resolution and release management practices.
  • Communicate effectively and influence stakeholders across teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud engineering or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong background in Terraform and other DevOps tools.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub.
  • Knowledge of distributed databases, with a preference for Cockroach DB, Yugabyte, or Oracle.
  • Unix/Linux knowledge and experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Cloud SQL.
  • Familiarity with additional cloud platforms beyond AWS and Azure.
