About the position

As a Senior Cloud Engineer at Hitachi Digital Services, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining our AWS cloud infrastructure. This position requires a strong background in AWS cloud engineering, particularly with Terraform, to automate infrastructure provisioning and enhance operational efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements and deliver robust cloud solutions that align with our commitment to innovation and excellence. Your responsibilities will include writing, testing, and deploying complex Terraform scripts, implementing and managing various AWS services, and ensuring adherence to AWS security best practices. You will also be tasked with troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure-related issues, proactively identifying potential problems, and communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide clear updates on project progress and issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Write, test, and deploy complex Terraform scripts to automate infrastructure provisioning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements and deliver robust cloud solutions.
• Implement and manage AWS services, including compute, storage, networking, security, and monitoring.
• Develop and maintain automation and orchestration tools and techniques to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to AWS security best practices, including the implementation of IAM policies, roles, and security groups.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues, proactively identifying and addressing potential problems.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on project progress and issues.

Requirements

• 6-7 years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud engineering with a strong focus on Terraform.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, including writing, testing, and deploying complex Terraform scripts.
• Proficiency in any programming language, preferably Go or Python.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services and solutions, including compute, storage, networking, security, and monitoring.
• Strong background in automation and orchestration tools and techniques.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and experience with VPC, subnets, routing, and security groups in AWS.
• Knowledge of AWS security best practices and experience implementing IAM policies, roles, and security groups.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
