About the position

CACI is looking for an experienced cloud engineer to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support our customer's cloud migration effort. As a cloud engineer, you will work with a motivated and experienced team to design, architect, and engineer cloud solutions that incorporate best practices to create a resilient, secure, and highly available cloud ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a Cloud Strategy to achieve business objectives, such as cost, scalability, agility, and risk mitigation.
  • Participate in technical exchange meetings to explore best approaches to solve cloud migration challenges.
  • Design and engineer secure commercial cloud-based Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environments.
  • Work closely with information system security officers and engineers to incorporate shift left security measures throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Work with developers to assess application cloud readiness and make recommendations for deployment to production environments.
  • Design and implement automated and resilient solutions to archive security audit data following National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
  • Skilled at producing technical documentation and engineering diagrams.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and government stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance.
  • BS degree in STEM related field.
  • 5 years of additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a BS degree.
  • 3+ years of experience working with cloud service providers, preferably AWS.
  • DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II Certification.
  • One or more cloud vendor certifications or CompTIA Cloud+.
  • Experience working within a team using Agile project management.
  • Experience using DevSecOps framework to build solutions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with Kubernetes.
  • Experience leveraging Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Configuration-as-Code (CaC).
  • Experience with programming languages, preferably Python.
  • Experience using JSON and YAML for automation and configuration.
