About the position

CACI is looking for candidates to work on an exciting opportunity to expand our customer's portfolio of services into government cloud technologies. This position will require members of our cloud team to research current hybrid-cloud offerings and government cloud technologies to engineer solutions on how to migrate services from on-premises hosted services to C2S. The role involves managing, operating, and deploying AWS GovCloud/SC2S/C2S components, accounts, services, and tools in support of AF DCGS. You will work closely with the Cloud Engineering team (AFRL), vendors, and other support staff to identify, resolve, and document incidents. In this position, you will operate and manage cloud-based infrastructure, network operations, capacity and resource management, service metering, and operational cost oversight, as well as disaster recovery and mitigation. You will create processes designed to measure system effectiveness and identify areas for improvement, seeking ways to enhance systems operations with a focus on automation and minimizing costs. Building and supporting effective metrics for production services will be a key responsibility, along with planning for adequate capacity of systems based on utilization metrics and planned projects to establish supply and demand forecasts. You will also be responsible for reviewing proposed changes with internal team members and other stakeholders, helping to devise post-implementation verification routines and system health checks. Communicating impacts of change to all stakeholders in a timely manner is essential. Additionally, you will coordinate with patch management teams and teams involved in service upgrades, aid in maintaining compliance of the cloud environments, and engage with management, risk, and compliance teams as needed. Participation in rotating 24×7 on-site support and supporting automation in the cloud environment are also part of the role.
