About the position

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Engineer to join a growing software organization in Charlotte, NC. The company operates within the financial sector and has strong plans for growth over the next 12 months. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for scaling cloud-based solutions for both infrastructure and software applications within AWS. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of the cloud solutions being developed and maintained. You will play a critical role in the design and implementation of cloud architectures that meet the needs of the organization while adhering to best practices in security and performance. In this position, you will leverage your expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambda to build and manage cloud infrastructure. Your responsibilities will also include implementing DevOps practices, particularly in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. You will be expected to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure that cloud solutions align with business objectives and technical requirements. This role is pivotal in driving the company's cloud strategy and ensuring that the cloud infrastructure is robust and secure, enabling the organization to meet its operational goals efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Scale cloud-based solutions for infrastructure and software applications within AWS.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure reliability, scalability, and security of cloud solutions.
  • Design and implement cloud architectures using AWS services such as EC2, S3, and Lambda.
  • Implement DevOps practices, including designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders regarding cloud solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in FinTech, Finance, or Banking.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Cloud Engineering & Security.
  • Expert knowledge in AWS, including EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.
  • Highly proficient in functional programming languages such as Python, Bash, and Powershell.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and methods.
