The primary focus of this position is to collect and analyze data to provide financial and operational insights critical to the success of the organization. This includes monitoring cloud usage and spending data to identify cost-saving opportunities. With a heavy emphasis on cloud services, you will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to promote a culture of cost accountability and awareness around cloud consumption. In this role, you will be responsible for financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as consumption analysis including KPIs, show back, analytics, and capacity management. You will utilize analytical techniques to present information that supports business decisions, ensuring that all IT financial targets are met while advising on financial planning and budgeting. You will also monitor and manage IT expenditure, examining areas where budgets and expenditure exceed their agreed tolerances. Your responsibilities will include the development and enhancement of a governance framework for cloud financial management, keeping up with the latest cost optimization strategies and technologies, and generating month-end and quarter-end reports that align cloud costs with financial budgets and forecasts. You will work closely with various stakeholders to help them understand their cloud spend and optimize it based on their unique architecture and desired business outcomes. Additionally, you will develop dashboards using cloud-native tooling to analyze, monitor, and report on Alight's consumption of cloud and related services, proactively identifying opportunities for optimization. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization.
