About the position

The Sr Cloud Infrastructure and Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and security solutions. This role focuses on leveraging cloud technologies and security best practices to ensure the integrity and security of cloud environments, particularly in AWS. The engineer will work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance security measures and implement DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions in AWS.
• Manage and enhance security practices within cloud environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Utilize automation tools for deployment and monitoring of cloud resources.
• Implement zero-trust architecture and IAM tools for secure access management.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement remediation strategies.
• Work with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Provide guidance on cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT Cloud, or a relevant field; or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of six years of Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, or Cloud Security engineering experience.
• 4+ years of experience as a Security Engineer focusing on DevOps practices.
• 4+ years of experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure) and cloud security best practices.
• Experience with automation tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.
• 3+ years of experience in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• 3+ years of experience using security tools and practices (SAST, DAST, vulnerability scanners, etc.).
• Experience with IAM tools (Okta, AWS IAM) and familiarity with microservices security.

Nice-to-haves

• Certifications such as CEH or AWS Certified Security.
• Experience working with IoT, Digital or Web product management, preferably in a Platform application.
• Familiarity with security practices in microservices architecture.
