About the position

Check out this NEW Opportunity with Axient! We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Platform One Knowledge and Tool Manager. This role is pivotal in driving the adoption and efficient use of tools and knowledge management practices. The position provides program management, knowledge management, and tools management support for the United States Space Force (USSF), Space Systems Command (SSC), Space Sensing (SN) program office. The primary mission areas of SSC/SN include resilient missile warning, missile tracking, and missile defense space and ground; advanced technology innovation and prototyping; survivable overhead persistent infrared; environmental monitoring; and tactical surveillance. Areas of support will provide management of licensing and onboarding of Platform One operations to the Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution (FORGE) program. In this role, you will support the licensing and onboarding of Platform One operations. You will evaluate, select, and implement tools that enhance efficiency, collaboration, and automation within the Platform One ecosystem. Ensuring seamless integration of selected tools with existing systems and workflows will be a key responsibility. You will provide guidance on tool best practices and usage to maximize productivity, and implement processes and systems to capture, store, and share knowledge effectively across teams. Facilitating training sessions and workshops to promote knowledge sharing and utilization will also be part of your duties. Additionally, you will establish and enforce documentation standards to ensure consistency and clarity in all documentation related to tools and processes. Maintaining an up-to-date repository of documentation and resources accessible to all stakeholders is essential. You will collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to understand their tool and knowledge management needs, support the execution of resilient space sensing architectures, acquisition documents, technology demonstrations, and product development to ensure compliance with technical requirements on the contract. You will also provide technical acquisition and program planning in the evaluation of space sensing programs, participate in formal program reviews, and provide findings and updates to Space Sensing leadership while assisting with briefings up the leadership chain.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience managing tools and knowledge management systems in a complex organizational environment.
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Certification in Agile, ITIL, or related methodologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP).
  • Must have an active and transferrable Secret security clearance with current investigation at the required level.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in Agile, ITIL, or related methodologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP).
