About the position

The Cloud Native Developer role at Deloitte focuses on implementing cloud-native platforms and Agile application development technologies. This position is integral to helping clients transform their organizations through innovative cloud solutions, working closely with developer teams to automate deployment processes and enhance infrastructure management. The role requires collaboration with various teams to deliver effective cloud solutions that meet client needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead/support implementation of cloud-native platforms and Agile application development technologies.
• Work closely with developer teams to create an automated CI/CD pipeline.
• Implement build, deployment and monitoring standards for the client.
• Deliver end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring and infrastructure management in a cloud environment.
• Create scripts and/or templates to automate and/or bootstrap infrastructure provisioning and management tasks.
• Build and configure delivery environments supporting CI/CD tools using an Agile delivery methodology.
• Provide knowledge of container management tools (e.g. Docker, OpenShift) and container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes).
• Utilize infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Ansible, CloudFormation) and modern build experience tools (e.g. Maven).
• Understand static code analysis, unit testing, security testing, and automated test frameworks.
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming (Java) and source control systems (Git).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Active TS/SCI clearance required
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship
• 2+ years of software development or testing experience within an Agile environment
• 2+ years of knowledge and experience with container management tools (Docker, OpenShift)
• 2+ years of experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• 2+ years with modern build experience tools (Maven) and cloud integration systems (Jenkins)
• 3+ years of experience with object-oriented programming (Java)
• 2+ years of experience with static code analysis, unit testing, and test-driven development.

• Certifications such as Google - Professional Data Engineer; AWS - Developer - Associate; Azure - MCSA: Cloud Platform (Development Focus)
