GovCIO is currently hiring for a Cloud Network Engineer/Architect to support cloud networking and architecting solutions for the customer. This position will be fully remote with a 10% travel requirement. The role involves gathering information concerning the capabilities of Company products, investigating the technical capabilities of Company products and competing equipment and/or solutions, and staying abreast of developments in hardware and software. The engineer will generate quantifiable requirements based on customer descriptions, system planning, and design, ensuring compliance through formal verification methods. Additionally, the position requires translating high-level product development strategies into network and system requirement specifications and collaborating with other engineering disciplines to develop lower-level detailed implementation requirements. The Cloud Network Engineer/Architect will establish and coordinate the development of standards, practices, and procedures related to network and system development. They will design interfaces and integrate network and system elements to ensure they function cohesively. Performance assessment will be conducted using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. The role also includes acting as a customer liaison and providing support for business development activities to understand and shape requirements. Responsibilities include coordinating the planning, design, and installation of equipment, participating in system conceptual design, installing new hardware, systems, and software for networks, and designing, creating, and building network services, equipment, and devices. The engineer will generate system-level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures, monitor system performance, and implement performance tuning. They will also review test plans/procedures to ensure they meet contractual requirements and participate in the testing process to validate requirements. Furthermore, the engineer will develop and analyze existing administrative operations and management controls, including standard practices, operating procedures, management systems, and reporting documentation. They will conduct assessments of current and in-process documents for compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures, and offer recommendations to retain, revise, or retire existing resource documents based on utilization, compliance, and other relevant metrics. Collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) will be essential to modify resource documents and implement recommended frameworks.
