GovCIO is currently seeking a Cloud Network Engineer/Architect to support cloud networking and architecting solutions for our customers. This position is fully remote, with a travel requirement of approximately 10%. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering information regarding the capabilities of our products, investigating the technical capabilities of both our products and competing solutions, and staying updated on developments in hardware and software. The role involves generating quantifiable requirements based on customer descriptions, system planning, and design, ensuring that these requirements comply through formal verification methods. The engineer will translate high-level product development strategies into network and system requirement specifications, collaborating with other engineering disciplines to develop detailed implementation requirements. In addition, the Cloud Network Engineer/Architect will establish and coordinate the development of standards, practices, and procedures related to network and system development. This includes designing interfaces and integrating network and system elements to function cohesively. The role also requires assessing performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures, acting as a customer liaison, and supporting business development activities to understand and shape requirements. The responsibilities extend to coordinating the planning, design, and installation of equipment, utilizing knowledge of engineering and programming, as well as sophisticated instruments and computers. The engineer will participate in system conceptual design and documentation, install new hardware, systems, and software for networks, and design, create, and build network services, equipment, and devices. They will also generate system-level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures, monitor system performance, and implement performance tuning. Furthermore, the engineer will review test plans and procedures to ensure they meet contractual objectives and participate in the testing process to validate requirements. The role also involves developing and analyzing existing administrative operations and management controls, including standard practices, operating procedures, management systems, and reporting documentation. The engineer will conduct assessments of current and in-process documents for compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures, and will identify related policy documents that may be impacted by reviews and updates of existing content. Recommendations will be made to retain, revise, or retire existing resource documents based on utilization, compliance, and other relevant metrics. The engineer will define technical and web content management requirements to improve the management of resource documents, including searchability, currency, and identification of authoritative sources, collaborating with stakeholders and subject matter experts to modify resource documents and implement recommended frameworks.
