About the position

The Cloud Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud network infrastructure, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security. This role involves consulting with enterprise architects and automation teams to drive cloud configuration and includes responsibilities such as assessing cloud vulnerabilities and overseeing disaster recovery planning.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement networking and security controls while ensuring compliance
  • Assess cloud vulnerabilities and identify cloud security threats
  • Identify risks and perform audits
  • Oversee the testing of data contingencies and disaster recovery planning

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a closely related field and five years of IT experience including three years of progressive experience in cloud-related systems infrastructure design, implementation, and management
  • Demonstrated experience diagnosing and/or resolving complex network problems in an enterprise environment
  • Demonstrated experience configuring and/or optimizing functionality of next-generation firewall solutions in a cloud environment
  • Demonstrated experience with core network services such as DNS, DHCP, and IPAM technologies

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrated cloud networking experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Demonstrated experience with hybrid Cloud connectivity options such as Site-to-Site IPsec VPN technologies
  • Current/active Networking-specific certification (e.g., CCNA, PCNSA/E, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, or Azure Network Engineer Associate)
