About the position

The Cloud Operations Engineer will collaborate with Operations and Engineering Teams to enhance public and private cloud platforms. This role is essential for ensuring platform availability, minimizing operational toil, and supporting continuous infrastructure and application availability.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Operations and Engineering Teams to identify and implement feature sets impacting cloud platforms.
• Perform hands-on architecture, design, and development of monitoring systems to ensure infrastructure and application availability.
• Understand current incidents and provide solutions to detect, recover, and prevent reoccurrence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years of industry experience, including at least 1 year of software development experience in Python.
• Strong understanding of Linux functionalities and experience with shell scripting.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, and Azure is beneficial.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible.
• Preferred experience with NoSQL databases like Couchbase.
• Ability to work with various infrastructures and platforms, including IaaS, PaaS, cloud technologies, and tools for Continuous Delivery (CD).
• Strong ability to interpret technical and business objectives and articulate solutions effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
