About the position

CARTO is seeking a senior alliances professional with a strong background in B2B SaaS to manage and develop relationships with cloud partners. This role focuses on driving revenue through partner-sourced pipeline development and executing CARTO's partner strategy to enhance customer experiences with the Location Intelligence platform. The position requires engaging with partners at all organizational levels and contributing to strategic growth plans.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an existing portfolio of Cloud partners driving new pipeline, opportunity progression, and closed revenue.
  • Qualify cloud partner referred pipeline through a strict qualification process based on technical and commercial fit.
  • Execute CARTO's partner strategy by engaging cloud partners around mutual solutions that enhance customer experience.
  • Build long-lasting relationships with cloud partners at all levels, from Account Executives to leadership.
  • Enable cloud partners to effectively sell and integrate the CARTO platform, increasing success through adoption.
  • Create and drive strategic growth plans with key partners, including market assessment and revenue projections.
  • Evaluate the strategic and economic impact of potential opportunities with partners and prioritize efforts accordingly.
  • Contribute to shaping the platform partnership strategy and building repeatable processes.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in cloud technology, data, analytics, or GIS in partner roles, preferably in SaaS-based technology companies.
  • Experience working for a cloud hyperscaler is a strong plus.
  • Deep understanding of Cloud partner programs, incentives, compensation drivers, and planning cycles is highly desired.
  • Solid technical acumen around cloud, cloud data warehouses, analytics, and geospatial concepts.
  • Strong relationship management skills and ability to operate with little oversight.
  • Demonstrated experience executing partner programs resulting in new pipeline and revenue.
  • Ability to adapt communication style to the requirements of each country.
  • Excellent cross-departmental communication skills.
  • Proven ability to think ahead, engage proactively, and take initiative.
  • An entrepreneurial self-starter capable of strategic recommendations.
