About the position

The Cloud Platform Engineer will be responsible for building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure, focusing on continuous integration, delivery, and deployment (CI/CD), cloud technologies, container orchestration, and security. This role involves ensuring the safety of systems against security threats and managing a team while utilizing GitLab Pipelines to connect applications to cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Understand, configure, implement, and deploy continuous integration, delivery, and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines utilizing GitLab.
• Configure and maintain Kubernetes reference design including Sidecar Container Security Stack, Service Mesh, and Load Balancers in an AWS environment.
• Monitor DevSecOps platform services, validating the integrity and accessibility of all resources, hardware, systems, and key processes.
• Develop, enable, and engineer new and approved services/features/enhancements for the DevSecOps Platform cloud environment utilizing native and third-party tool sets.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity and Infrastructure teams on the cloud platform's development.
• Provide Tier 3 Support for CI/CD platform and tenants.
• Self-motivate and work independently to deliver timely solutions without direct supervision.

Requirements

• 4 years of experience with Kubernetes, AWS EKS preferred
• 3 years with container build and deployment processes utilizing CI/CD pipelines
• 2 years of hands-on experience with AWS
• 1 year of hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
• 1 year of hands-on experience with GitLab
• Willingness to work onsite 60% (hybrid arrangements are possible with this role)

Nice-to-haves

• Hold or willing to attain DoD 8570 IAT Level II
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or equivalent
• Experience with database administration/migration
• Knowledge of agile methodologies, network design and security, and DoD system requirements
