About the position

A successful Cloud Platform Engineering Manager at Clover transforms complex technological challenges into seamless, scalable solutions that empower millions of merchants. You'll architect the infrastructure backbone that supports Clover's innovative fintech ecosystem, turning distributed systems into powerful platforms that drive business growth and technological excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 6-8 Platform Engineers spanning Senior to Staff+ levels
• Collaborate with infrastructure, quality, and release teams to design scalable service platforms
• Work closely with application teams to understand requirements and drive platform evolution
• Establish technical vision balancing short and long-term goals
• Foster a culture of engineering excellence and team empowerment
• Scale systems through automation to improve reliability and development velocity
• Oversee team projects from inception to completion
• Lead blameless postmortems to ensure thorough incident remediation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 8+ years of industry experience in Software Engineering
• 2+ years of experience in engineering leadership
• Strong programming experience in Java, Python, Go, or C++
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Ability to manage complex technological ecosystems
