About the position

The Cloud Security Architect at Lee Health is a senior-level role focused on enhancing the security posture of the organization through hands-on implementation and management of cloud security technologies, particularly within Microsoft Azure and M365 environments. This position is integral to the Cybersecurity team, working closely with leadership to develop security roadmaps, conduct risk assessments, and implement necessary controls to protect critical information systems. The role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure compliance and the effective deployment of security measures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security roadmaps for cloud environments.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify security gaps in information systems.
• Provide technical guidance on deploying and monitoring cloud security technologies.
• Implement and audit security controls, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor for and respond to security anomalies or incidents.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to enhance security measures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Seven years of progressively responsible IT work experience with a focus on network security.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation with some after-hours work required.
• Experience in a healthcare or HIPAA compliant environment strongly preferred.
• Industry certification such as CISSP, GIAC, Security+ or similar preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with securing Microsoft M365 and Azure.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows client/server architecture including Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Experience with next-generation firewalls and IDS/IPS.
• Familiarity with enterprise networking and TCP/IP protocols.
• Experience with email security and web filtering technologies.
• Knowledge of vulnerability scanning and patch management.
• Experience with remote access technologies like Citrix and IPSec VPN.
• Familiarity with endpoint security solutions and hardening practices.
• Experience with encryption technologies and identity management.
