About the position

The Cloud Security Engineer at ICF Next is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions within Azure to safeguard cloud infrastructure, applications, and data. This role requires collaboration with IT, DevOps, and application development teams to integrate security practices and ensure compliance with regulatory standards, while also addressing emerging threats and vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Implement new techniques, solutions, approaches, and technologies.
• Develop and document processes to assist the team.
• Serve as an escalation point for advanced troubleshooting and investigations.
• Evaluate, design, and optimize workflows and process automation.
• Tune and optimize existing tools and solutions for peak operation.
• Mentor, support, and review Analysts.
• Develop and maintain technology standards.
• Engage with business stakeholders to evaluate solution requirements.
• Modify, create, or propose alerts for events of interest.
• Help monitor common channels for priority communications.
• Identify, develop, and implement improvements in existing systems.
• Assistance with disaster recovery and incident response testing and processes.
• Research and test emerging threats.

Requirements

• Ability to pass the client's background check.
• US Citizenship required.
• Must reside in the United States and work must be performed in the United States.
• 5+ years of general technology experience.
• 2+ years of related security experience.
• 2+ years of cloud technology experience, specifically with Microsoft Azure.
• Ability to travel 2-5 times a year.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in hybrid cloud solutions, integrating on-premises infrastructure with Azure.
• Industry cloud certifications from AWS, Microsoft, or Google.
