About the position

The Cloud Security Engineer - VP role at BNY is a senior position within the Information Security Division, specifically in the Cyber Security Cloud team. This role focuses on the implementation and ongoing development of the product security strategy for the Eagle product suite, ensuring robust cloud security controls and compliance. The position requires a strong background in information security, particularly in cloud environments, and involves continuous assessment of the cloud posture supporting Eagle products and services.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for implementation and continued development of the product security strategy of the Eagle product suite, including Eagle ACCESS and Data Vault.
• Ensure that appropriate cloud security controls and monitors are in place.
• Define requirements and strategy for new cloud networking and product initiatives.
• Provide continuous assessment and review of the posture of the cloud environment, including the cloud network, supporting the Eagle products and services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in information security or related technology experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
• Experience in cloud security and compliance best practices.
• Direct experience with Microsoft Azure is a plus.
• Experience in developing and deploying automated security controls and monitors.
• Experience with hybrid and cloud migrations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse environment.
• Familiarity with scripting languages and automation frameworks for security orchestration and configuration management.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking security concepts and architecture.
