About the position

The Cloud Security Engineer at Easy Dynamics is responsible for the design, architecture, build, and monitoring of cloud systems with a focus on security and DevSecOps. This role is crucial in supporting the migration of infrastructure and workloads to AWS, ensuring compliance and security best practices are adhered to. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance security initiatives and the implementation of automated CI/CD pipelines, all within a fast-paced, Agile environment that values innovation and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Design and advise on securing automated, fault-tolerant, and scalable AWS environments adhering to AWS best practices.
  • Support migrating infrastructure and system/application workloads to AWS Cloud, including various migration strategies such as Rehosting, Repurchasing, Refactoring, Retiring, and Retaining.
  • Support institutionalizing DevOps methodology and the creation, maintenance, and employment of automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for DevOps initiatives by providing insights and guidance.
  • Collaborate on security initiatives with the Office of the CISO, ISSOs, System Owners, and other security stakeholders.
  • Participate, conduct, and present in security meetings, workgroups, or training events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or 12 years of on-the-job experience in cloud security or cybersecurity.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in specialized cloud technologies, focusing on cloud security architecture and implementation.
  • Understanding of IaaS and PaaS cloud services and experience employing them to design solutions to complex problems.
  • Knowledge and experience with Cloud Architecture Design, Networking and Security, DevOps, and CI/CD Pipelines.
  • Experience with migration automation including CloudFormation and/or Terraform.
  • Ability to research, analyze, correlate, and present vulnerability data from various tools.
  • Strong analytical, task management, time management, and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification.
  • AWS Certified Security - Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification.
