About the position

As a Cloud Security Engineer at CSG, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our public cloud security framework across multiple providers. Reporting to the Security Information Manager, you will be part of a dedicated technical team of professionals focused on ensuring the security of our cloud environments. Your primary responsibilities will include identifying and defining security system requirements, analyzing existing security systems, and seeking improvements through automation and other means. You will also be tasked with developing, documenting, and maintaining security standards, technical documentation, and standard operating procedures. In collaboration with Information Security Analysts, you will tune, filter, and customize security systems to optimize their performance. As an information security subject matter expert for public cloud security, you will provide guidance and insights to fellow team members and stakeholders outside of the security organization, helping to solve basic to moderately complex public cloud-focused security challenges. Additionally, you will participate in audit, compliance, and regulatory functions, ensuring adherence to standards such as the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and various state and federal privacy laws. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining the integrity and security of our cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and define security system requirements.
  • Analyze security systems and seek improvements through automation or otherwise.
  • Develop, document, and maintain security standards, technical documentation, and standard operating procedures.
  • Tune, filter, and customize security systems with Information Security Analysts.
  • Act as an information security subject matter expert for public cloud security.
  • Consult with team members and external stakeholders to provide guidance on public cloud security challenges.
  • Participate in audit, compliance, and regulatory functions, including PCI DSS, SOX, and privacy laws.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in English in a business environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in information security, including a minimum of two years of public cloud experience.
  • Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining hybrid multi-cloud security solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining information security technologies related to public cloud, such as IDS/IPS, malware prevention, and encryption.
  • Automation and integration experience using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Jenkins.
