About the position

The Cloud Security Engineer at Warner Bros. Discovery is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining security measures for cloud infrastructures across AWS, GCP, and Azure. This role emphasizes the security of containerized applications and involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle. The position requires a strong understanding of cloud security, container security, and DevSecOps methodologies, along with the ability to automate security operations and conduct routine security assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain security measures for cloud infrastructures across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Ensure the security of containerized applications through Kubernetes and microservices security best practices.
  • Architect secure container environments, including Kubernetes clusters and Docker setups.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures for cloud environments and containerized workloads.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Automate security operations and workflows using scripting languages like Python.
  • Partner with DevOps teams to fortify container orchestration platforms and workloads.
  • Conduct routine security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, emerging threats, and best practices in cloud security.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Cloud Security Engineer or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python.
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and practices.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with microservices security principles and best practices.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS, GCP, or Azure are desired.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
