About the position

The Senior Cloud Security Engineer will work collaboratively with various teams to design and implement secure cloud solutions, focusing on AWS and Azure. This hands-on role requires expertise in both public and hybrid cloud models, with a strong emphasis on security compliance and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure and applications with a focus on AWS and Azure Cloud.
• Design and develop automation to build cloud security accelerators and intellectual property.
• Work with Security Operations teams to build and maintain SIEM, SOAR, and XDR technology.
• Analyze and resolve configuration issues in development, test, and production environments.
• Ensure compliance with major security compliance frameworks by building effective monitoring, logging, and auditing of production systems.
• Implement secure (zero trust) infrastructure in the cloud.
• Provide security expertise for state and local government customers.
• Travel as needed to customer engagements.

Requirements

• 5-10 years' experience in information security and engineering.
• Experience designing and maintaining infrastructure in AWS/Azure.
• Cloud security design, operations, and automation experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to document security tools, deployment configurations, incident reports, etc.
