About the position

The Cloud Security Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing technical solutions to mitigate security vulnerabilities in cloud environments. This role requires extensive experience in cloud networking architecture, security frameworks, and incident response, as well as proficiency in automation and scripting languages. The position is based in Sacramento, CA, and involves collaboration with both technical and non-technical teams to enhance security measures and support business operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technical solutions to mitigate security vulnerabilities.
• Design and manage cloud networking architecture and operations.
• Utilize configuration as code and infrastructure as code solutions such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Manage network and encryption protocols including VPNs, IPsec, and SSL/TLS.
• Utilize scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell for automation tasks.
• Implement threat intelligence services in a production environment.
• Oversee incident response, system configuration, and vulnerability management.
• Collaborate with teams to promote security ideas that support business enablement.
• Automate security tasks through APIs and cloud automation frameworks.
• Integrate security into DevOps pipelines using IaC tools.
• Apply security frameworks such as NIST and OWASP in cloud environments.
• Implement Zero Trust security models and manage IAM policies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in developing and implementing security solutions.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud networking architecture and operations.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with configuration as code and infrastructure as code solutions.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience with network and encryption technologies.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience with scripting languages like Python and PowerShell.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience using threat intelligence services.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in incident response and vulnerability management.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in problem-solving for complex security requirements.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience collaborating with diverse teams.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with Microsoft EntraID and AWS IAM policies.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience automating security tasks through APIs.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience integrating security into DevOps pipelines.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with security frameworks and Zero Trust models.
• Current certification in at least two relevant security certifications.
