About the position

The Cloud Security Engineer position is a hands-on engineering role that requires a high level of technical expertise within our cloud infrastructure, with a heavy emphasis on Azure Cloud expertise. The person in this position is responsible for a broad range of responsibilities, including the design and building out of new features and solutions, project implementation of company cloud initiatives, and the maintenance and security of our Cloud Infrastructure. The individual in this position interacts closely with associates with other technical teams and executive leaders throughout our organization. We are looking for an individual with three or more years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions. With a proven ability to deliver results in fast-paced environments and a strong passion for working with others, deploying cutting-edge technologies, and driving innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Create infrastructure designs built and deployed using industry best practices while considering cost, performance, security, and compliance with regulatory frameworks (SOCII, ISO, etc.).
  • Experience creating detailed documentation, including architecture diagrams, network topologies, system specifications, and other deliverables.
  • Expert in creating and deploying cloud policies to support SOCII Security Controls.
  • Conduct regular audits of cloud infrastructure for compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.
  • Experience building automation using scripts and serverless functions.
  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure cloud integrations are available and meet all security requirements.
  • Experience developing dashboards to monitor cloud solutions for availability and performance.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot cloud networking or security issues.
  • Updating and maintaining cloud features with the latest updates and deploying new features whenever they are released.
  • Develop site recovery and backup solutions to maintain availability and business continuity.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years in cloud Azure Architect, Engineer, or DevOps role.
  • Or Minimum of three years in any Cloud Architect, Developer, Engineer, or DevOps role augmented with Azure Cloud certifications.
  • Strong familiarity with Azure Resource Manager, Azure Site Disaster Recovery, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Strong understanding of Azure Security Solutions using Sentinel and Defender for Cloud.
  • Experience with Compute and Storage using Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, and Databases.
  • Expert on Cloud Networking using Local and Virtual Gateways, Network Security Groups, and Virtual Firewalls.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Must be flexible and able to work in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in SOCII Security Audits is a Plus.
  • Specialized certification in Azure cloud and computing is desired.
