About the position

The Cloud Senior Architect role is a hybrid position based in Fort Worth, TX, focused on overseeing and contributing to the technical approach of application design, particularly in cloud-native applications targeting Azure Cloud. The architect will collaborate with development teams, create necessary architecture and design documents, and advocate for best practices in Agile and DevOps methodologies. This position requires a strong background in software development and architecture, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and contributes to the technical approach of application design.
• Collaborate with developers to guide the architecture approach for the Functional and Technical Design.
• Creates required architecture and design documents to support technical application architecture, vision, strategy, standards, policies, and presentations.
• Contribute technical input and responses in meetings and discussions to support the best application architecture.
• Escalates technical issues when needed to keep the project on track and minimize risk.
• Use the Agile process to analyze Business Capabilities/Requirements and translate them into Features/User Stories.
• Advocate and guide development teams to Shift-Left collaboration and automated testing.
• Demonstrates a positive, professional, leadership attitude when communicating with others.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
• 10 years of development experience.
• 8 years of architectural and design experience.
• 5 years building cloud-native applications targeting Azure Cloud.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
• Airline industry experience.
