About the position

As a cloud site reliability engineer on our team, you'll work with homeland security on the development of more robust systems by building a resilient infrastructure. You'll build in redundancy, implement monitoring tools, and automate wherever possible. You'll reduce toil by scripting routine tasks and automating self-repair. This is your chance to leverage your expertise in cloud technologies while assisting junior engineers and broadening your knowledge base. Work with us as we help the homeland security mission.

Responsibilities

  • Develop robust systems by building resilient infrastructure.
  • Implement monitoring tools and automate processes.
  • Script routine tasks and automate self-repair mechanisms.
  • Assist junior engineers and broaden your knowledge base.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience developing robust systems by building resilient infrastructure
  • 4+ years of experience with provisioning, operations, and management in AWS environments
  • Experience with monitoring applications, network appliances, or infrastructure for Open Source and Enterprise or CloudNative
  • Experience applying core SRE practices and principles
  • Experience with GIT repositories, CI/CD concepts, and leveraging Infrastructure as Code
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with hand-off of problem reports to appropriate client leadership
  • Experience providing systems and account administration consistent with system requirements to support remote system service
  • Experience providing support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
  • Experience with troubleshooting, maintaining integrity, and configuring network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
  • Experience implementing AIOps practices for IT infrastructure automation, including automated predictive maintenance
  • Bachelor's Degree
