About the position

This internship at IBM is designed for graduate students pursuing a PhD or MS, focusing on software development for scalable architectures in a cloud environment. The role involves developing solutions for Electronic Design Automation (EDA) to optimize workloads and enhance customer capabilities using IBM Cloud. Interns will collaborate with researchers and engineers to create as-a-Service solutions, contributing to advanced hardware design workloads.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable architectures in a cloud environment for Electronic Design Automation (EDA).
• Integrate services that allow customers to leverage IBM Cloud for advanced hardware design workloads.
• Collaborate with researchers, hardware designers, and software engineers to create as-a-Service solutions.
• Optimize workloads to decrease time-to-market for customers.

Requirements

• PhD or MS students pursuing graduate studies.
• Expertise in cloud technologies.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies.
• Knowledge of performance monitoring and optimization techniques.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of cloud development methodologies.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with unit testing and Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with hardware design flow and Electronic Design Automation.
