About the position

Artera Technologies, LLC is seeking Cloud Engineers at various levels (Mid, Senior, Principal) to join their Cloud and DevOps engineering teams. The role focuses on developing tools and methods to optimize application, software, and infrastructure resources, particularly for large datasets. Candidates will engage in software development, including requirements analysis, installation, integration, and testing, while utilizing cloud analytic development skills and a solid foundation in data structures and string parsing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct software development and engineering tasks including requirements analysis, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
• Utilize cloud analytic development skills to design and develop automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms.
• Develop and deploy data-driven analytics within heterogeneous schema environments, focusing on discovering and exploiting social networks and event-driven analytics.
• Construct taxonomies for analytic disciplines, knowledge areas, and skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Cloud certification(s) required.
• Experience in Java programming for distributed systems, including networking and multi-threading.
• Proficiency with Apache Hadoop, Apache Accumulo, and Apache NiFi.
• Agile development experience.
• Strong understanding of Linux fundamentals and knowledge of at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Ruby, Perl).
• Experience with source code management practices and tools (e.g., Git, Stash, Subversion).
• Experience developing software with high-level languages such as Java, C, or C+.
• Familiarity with the Map Reduce programming model and Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).
• Demonstrated experience with distributed scalable Big Data Store (NoSQL) technologies such as HBase, CloudBase/Accumulate, Big Table.

• Knowledge of predictive analysis and data trending.
