About the position

The Cloud Solution Architect Manager for Security in the Aerospace & Commercial Defense team is responsible for leading a team of architects focused on driving security transformation for customers utilizing Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 platforms. This role emphasizes people management, accountability for customer portfolios, and contributing to Microsoft’s business results while fostering a culture of inclusion and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support and guide the team in developing impactful relationships with customer and partner architects, C-level technical decision makers, and business stakeholders.
• Provide coaching to team members on effective customer conversations and solution value demonstration.
• Oversee the creation of strategies that improve customer/partner experience and drive customer health within the territory.
• Actively listen and create constructive tension and trust with customers and partners, challenging decisions respectfully.
• Manage business metrics and ensure the team delivers on Microsoft's Customer Promise.
• Drive adherence to Microsoft standards and recommended practices, ensuring governance of technical work.
• Foster a continuous technical self-learning culture and community sharing of stories among team members.
• Accelerate innovation by coaching teams on building and modifying intellectual properties rooted in domain expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting.
• 3+ years of people management experience, including managing consultant practice managers, technical sales managers, and/or technical architect managers.
• Citizenship verification required due to access to export-controlled information.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field AND 12+ years experience in relevant technologies or a Master's Degree in a related field AND 8+ years experience.
• 6+ years experience in a customer-facing role.
• Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google, security certifications).
• 5+ years of people management experience.
