About the position

The Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) Manager for Security in the Aerospace & Commercial Defense team is responsible for leading a team of architects focused on driving security transformation for customers using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 platforms. This role emphasizes people management, accountability for customer portfolios, and contributing to Microsoft's business results while fostering a culture of inclusion and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Support and guide the team in developing impactful relationships with customer and partner architects, C-level technical decision makers, and business stakeholders.
  • Provide coaching on building bridges between technical decision makers and business decision makers.
  • Facilitate effective customer conversations and demonstrate the value of solutions through design collaboration sessions.
  • Gather insights across customer interactions to improve team performance.
  • Align the team's work with customer success plans and drive partnerships with internal teams/resources.
  • Identify capability gaps and provide thought leadership in technical delivery discussions.
  • Contribute to One Microsoft strategies and model collaboration and accountability.
  • Coach team members to focus on customer/partner experience through efficient delivery.
  • Drive customer health and accelerate unified support contract coverage.
  • Anticipate customer dissatisfaction and develop strategies to improve experience and value realization.
  • Coordinate transformative delivery across customers/partners and share best practices.
  • Represent the voice of the customer and escalate feedback to internal teams.
  • Influence product roadmaps by presenting business cases to program managers.
  • Share success stories and learnings with the internal team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years people management experience, including managing consultant practice managers, technical sales managers, and/or technical architect managers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years experience working in a customer-facing role.
  • 6+ years experience leading technical projects, teams, or functions.
  • Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google, security certifications).
  • 5+ years people management experience.
