About the position

The Cloud Solution Design Architect at FIS Capital Markets is responsible for developing and enhancing recurring services in collaboration with business and technical teams. This role involves technical initiatives such as service design, capacity planning, and financial analysis, while also providing guidance to team members and supporting sales efforts with technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical initiatives including assessment studies & analysis, sizing & capacity planning, service design, competitive & financial analysis, and technical presentations.
• Collaborate with various teams to release recurring services offerings by providing inputs on architecture, operational models, and production costs.
• Develop documentation for operations and sales collateral.
• Work effectively in a matrix organization to achieve service design goals and objectives.
• Provide technical guidance to new/non-technical team members and business teams.
• Assist sales & presales with client-facing discussions regarding designed services.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in building recurring services solutions.
• Demonstrated understanding of public cloud infrastructure, applications, and deployment models.
• Good understanding of public cloud cost models & drivers.
• Experience with solutions deployed in public cloud (AWS, Azure).
• Understanding of cloud-native technologies and associated operating systems.
• Exposure to developing cost, pricing models, and business cases for recurring/SaaS services hosted on the public cloud.
• Working knowledge of DevOps and public cloud services alignment.
• Good communication skills, fluent in English.
