About the position

The Cloud Solutions Architect II (AWS) role at MMC involves leveraging technical expertise in cloud services to design and implement scalable and robust systems on the AWS cloud platform. This position requires collaboration with various teams to develop cloud solutions that meet organizational needs while ensuring alignment with security standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, robust systems on the AWS cloud platform.
• Provide architectural guidance and oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to develop and implement cloud solutions.
• Select appropriate AWS services based on data, compute, database, or security requirements.
• Identify and gather requirements to define solutions for cloud infrastructure.
• Assess existing infrastructure and recommend modifications as necessary.
• Educate teams on architectural principles and best practices.
• Lead technical and design discussions to accelerate the adoption of new technologies.
• Ensure solutions align with TIERS' security standards.
• Manage and utilize ITIL ticketing systems such as Remedy and ServiceNow.

Requirements

• Expertise in operating systems such as Red Hat Linux and Windows (12 years).
• Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS (10 years).
• Hands-on experience designing distributed systems and applications on the AWS Cloud (10 years).
• Experience managing Archer GRC (8 years).
• Working knowledge of storage and backup solutions provided by AWS (8 years).
• Experience with ITIL ticketing using Remedy and ServiceNow (8 years).

Nice-to-haves

• Comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts such as IP addresses, DNS, TCP/IP (5 years).
• General knowledge of database software such as Oracle, MSSQL, Postgres (5 years).
• Knowledge of identity and access management and cybersecurity principles (5 years).
• AWS Solutions Architect Certification (5 years).
