From our locations across the DC Metro area, Hampton, Virginia, and Huntsville, Alabama, we provide technological subject matter expertise, program management and business process knowledge as a trusted advisor in support of our Department of Defense and other Federal Agency customers. Technica Corporation is looking for a Cloud Solutions Architect SME to support our government customer in Huntsville, AL. This position will be responsible for developing strategies for cloud-based platforms, translating business needs into long-term architecture solutions, and designing automation for cloud resources using DevOps best practices. The selected candidate will act as the highest-level technical expert, addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms. This position may also lead a large development team in the design of highly complex software systems.

Responsibilities

• Developing strategies for cloud-based platforms.
• Translating business needs into long-term architecture solutions.
• Developing and designing solutions as needed, evaluating multiple software platforms, and integrating systems.
• Designing automation for cloud resources using DevOps best practices.
• Project completion.
• Performing feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
• Providing technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.

Requirements

• Must have Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelors' degree in a technical or engineering discipline, and/or the equivalent education and experience.
• 10 years of related experience, or a combination of experience and certifications that demonstrates ability to perform at this level.
• Demonstrated experience in establishing goals and plans that meet project objectives.
• Has proven domain and expert technical knowledge.
• Prior experience initiating, supervising, and/or developing requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs.
• Experience providing strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff.
• Demonstrated experience with detailed analysis, evaluation and providing recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues.
• Prior consulting work with clients to define needs or problems and develop solutions.

Benefits

• Annual base salary range of $160,000 - $190,000.
