About the position

The Cloud Solutions Architect, also known as The Cloud Strategist, is responsible for designing and implementing cloud solutions that drive innovation and enhance business performance. This role involves collaborating with IT teams, developers, and project managers to create secure, scalable, and efficient cloud architectures that align with the organization's long-term goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cloud-based solutions tailored to meet the company’s technical and business requirements.
• Assess emerging cloud technologies and provide recommendations for tools and platforms that enhance infrastructure, cost-efficiency, and security.
• Implement security protocols and compliance standards to protect cloud infrastructure and data.
• Work closely with DevOps and software development teams to design CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments.
• Develop strategies for cost management and optimization of cloud resources.
• Create infrastructure templates using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to enable quick, consistent, and replicable deployments.
• Keep updated on the latest advancements in cloud computing, container orchestration, serverless architectures, and hybrid cloud solutions.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), including deploying, managing, and scaling applications.
• Proficiency in designing cloud-based infrastructure and using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices, including identity management, data encryption, and compliance frameworks such as GDPR and HIPAA.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with developers, DevOps engineers, and stakeholders to align cloud architecture with business goals.
• Expertise in optimizing cloud performance and managing cloud costs.

Nice-to-haves

• Hands-on experience with cloud-native tools and container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
• Certifications in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
