About the position

As a Cloud Solutions Architect at NAVA Software Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in defining and communicating the cloud strategy for the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to establish cloud readiness criteria and assist various teams in mapping, transforming, and migrating products to the most suitable cloud architecture. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud design patterns and principles, as well as the ability to identify and implement top cloud architecture solutions that align with the strategic needs of the company. In this role, you will drive the creation of cloud migration and transformation strategies, developing infrastructure roadmaps that encompass application, information, business, and technology landscapes. You will be responsible for designing secure cloud application environments and enhancing cloud platforms, ensuring that all solutions adhere to established standards, guidelines, and security protocols. Your expertise will be crucial in establishing pilots and proof of concepts (POCs) for proposed solutions, making recommendations for approvals, and documenting best practices. You will also create the necessary capabilities to utilize automation practices for initializing, provisioning, and optimizing systems, facilitating infrastructure orchestration that embraces self-service and autonomy. Identifying and analyzing architecture gaps to propose new technologies will be a key aspect of your role, as will the implementation of cloud service models and application delivery methods such as PaaS, serverless, and containerization infrastructure. Collaboration will be essential, as you will partner with development teams, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to deliver and maintain a robust cloud platform. You will ensure that systems and applications have efficient monitoring aligned with business goals, and engage with external vendors to review solutions and new capabilities. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience will be vital in this fast-paced, results-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive the creation of Cloud migration & transformation strategy and infrastructure roadmaps across application, information, business, and technology landscapes.
• Drive holistic design & patterns/principles for secure cloud application environments, cloud platform enhancements, application architecture, and cloud service integrations.
• Establish pilots and POCs for proposed solutions and make recommendations for approvals.
• Create capabilities for utilizing automation practices for initializing, provisioning, and optimizing systems.
• Identify and analyze architecture gaps to propose new technologies.
• Solution and implement all aspects of Cloud service models and application delivery such as PaaS, Serverless and Containerization infrastructure.
• Document best practices and recommendations and create and maintain templates and standards.
• Create and implement DevSecOps, support, maintenance and governance practices and processes for the Cloud Platform.
• Partner with Development teams, CyberSecurity, Infrastructure teams to deliver and maintain a cloud platform.
• Ensure systems and applications have efficient and actionable monitoring with SLO aligned with business goals.
• Engage with external vendors to review solutions, new capabilities and products, and service offerings.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of demonstrated hands-on experience in designing and configuring secure and scalable cloud platforms patterns on Azure.
• Deep understanding of cloud design patterns, Cloud Native Architecture and principles, cloud operations, and cloud security models.
• Proven and demonstrable experience in architecting, designing, and implementing high volume, high availability cloud applications with a very high degree of automation.
• Proven ability to maintain both a strategic long-term outlook and enterprise perspective, while also supporting tangible, business-driven, and IT-delivered solutions.
• Strong programming skills with experience in API and .NET, Node.js, SQL, Postgres, Angular, PowerShell, AKS, EKS, Kubernetes, Postman, JMeter, Load Runner.
• Experience with offshore and contract development teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of cloud services: Application integration, functions, Cloud Databases, Developer Tools, Security and identity management.
• Demonstrated ability to easily deal with both abstract and concrete concepts and reconcile them for the appropriate audience and context.
• Ability to lead in-depth client meetings/workshops across a broad range of topics including discovery, cloud compliance, and security.
