About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Native VM, and NetApp. This role involves providing support and creating comprehensive architecture diagrams to ensure our cloud infrastructure is robust, scalable, and aligned with our business objectives. This position is on a consultant basis, requiring a commitment of 20 hours or more for our client. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining architecture diagrams for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability of the cloud environment. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective cloud architecture solutions. You will assess and recommend improvements to existing infrastructure to enhance efficiency and scalability, while also developing and enforcing best practices for cloud architecture, deployment, and operations. Troubleshooting and resolving complex issues related to OCI and associated technologies will be a key part of your responsibilities. Regular reviews of cloud infrastructure will be conducted to ensure compliance with industry standards and security policies. Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud technologies, particularly Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and NetApp, will be essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain architecture diagrams for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, including Oracle Native VM and NetApp integrations.
• Provide expert-level support for OCI, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective cloud architecture solutions.
• Assess and recommend improvements to existing infrastructure to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Develop and enforce best practices for cloud architecture, deployment, and operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to OCI and associated technologies.
• Conduct regular reviews of cloud infrastructure to ensure compliance with industry standards and security policies.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud technologies, particularly Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and NetApp.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT architecture with a focus on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Oracle Native VM.
• Proficiency with NetApp storage solutions and their integration with cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture best practices and design patterns.
• Experience in developing detailed architecture diagrams and documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant certifications such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate/Professional, NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer, or equivalent are highly desirable.
