About the position

The Cloud Solutions Engineer at RightBrain Networks is responsible for implementing and optimizing cloud-based solutions tailored to meet client needs. This role involves working within a small team on various engineering projects, focusing on cloud architecture, platform engineering, and data engineering. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in cloud computing technologies and best practices, with a passion for problem-solving and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and optimize cloud-based solutions for clients.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of 3-5 engineers on various projects.
  • Deliver scalable, reliable, and cost-effective solutions leveraging cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • One year of cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of source control systems.
  • Experience with Docker and CI/CD tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions).
  • Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, routing, security, TCP/IP).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (bash, python, powershell).
  • Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, Postgres).
  • Experience with web servers and proxies (NGINX, HAProxy, Traefik, Apache2).
  • Exceptional communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Software or web development experience.
  • Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of consolidated monitoring, logging, and telemetry.
  • Experience in the Windows environment (Server, IIS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with serverless technologies.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, Mongo, Cassandra, ElasticSearch).
  • Relevant certifications (CCNA, RHCSA, GCP, Azure, AWS).
