About the position

At Alight Solutions, we are seeking a Cloud Specialist with a focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development to join our Adoption and Deployment team. This role is pivotal in empowering application owners through a peer programming approach, guiding them in utilizing our automation tools to efficiently deploy and maintain their applications in the cloud. As a Cloud Specialist, you will leverage your expertise in Terraform and Ansible, combined with our innovative "Alight Tooling" for automated, secure infrastructure provisioning. Your contributions will be essential in advancing Alight's capabilities on the Alight Cloud platform, ensuring seamless integration and optimized performance. In this position, you will be responsible for creating and implementing Cloud-centric IaC solutions with Terraform, adhering to best practices and guidelines. You will also develop Ansible playbooks and collections as Configuration as Code (CaC) to manage application deployments and configurations. Your role will involve supporting the adoption of cloud-managed and serverless services across the company, as well as developing and delivering training on the use of Cloud Tooling. Analyzing the usage and adoption of internally developed Cloud tooling by internal customers will be a key part of your responsibilities, along with identifying, documenting, and planning improvements to Cloud tooling products. Ensuring compliance with the company's IT infrastructure security protocols and best practices will also be a critical aspect of your role. Responsibilities

• Creating and implementing Cloud-centric IaC solutions with Terraform in adherence to best practices and guidelines.
• Developing Ansible playbooks and collections as CaC to manage application deployments and configurations.
• Developing and supporting the adoption of cloud managed and serverless services across the company.
• Developing and delivering training on the use of the Cloud Tooling.
• Analyzing usage and adoption of internally developed Cloud tooling by internal customers.
• Identifying, documenting, and planning improvements to Cloud tooling products.
• Ensuring compliance with company's IT infrastructure security protocols and best practices.
• Performing other duties assigned or required to meet the business need.

Requirements

• Possess a background in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Possess extensive experience in infrastructure management within AWS.
• Possess a solid foundation in writing Terraform code to deploy and maintain large infrastructure solutions gained through at least 2 years of experience.
• Have 2+ years of experience deploying and configuring applications and systems with Ansible Tower.
