As a Cloud Specialist and IaC developer, you will play a pivotal role in our Adoption and Deployment team, which is essential in guiding application owners through a peer programming approach. Your expertise will be crucial in utilizing our automation tools to efficiently deploy and maintain applications in the cloud, thereby enhancing Alight's capabilities on the Alight Cloud platform. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and implementing cloud-centric Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, ensuring adherence to best practices and guidelines. You will also develop Ansible playbooks and collections for Configuration as Code (CaC) to manage application deployments and configurations. Your contributions will extend to supporting the adoption of cloud-managed and serverless services across the organization, as well as developing and delivering training on the use of our Cloud Tooling. Analyzing the usage and adoption of internally developed Cloud tooling will be part of your responsibilities, along with identifying and planning improvements to these products. Compliance with the company's IT infrastructure security protocols will be paramount, and you will perform other duties as required to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Creating and implementing Cloud-centric IaC solutions with Terraform in adherence to best practices and guidelines.
• Developing Ansible playbooks and collections as CaC to manage application deployments and configurations.
• Developing and supporting the adoption of cloud managed and serverless services across the company.
• Developing and delivering training on the use of the Cloud Tooling.
• Analyzing usage and adoption of internally developed Cloud tooling by internal customers.
• Identifying, documenting, and planning improvements to Cloud tooling products.
• Ensuring compliance with company's IT infrastructure security protocols and best practice.
• Performing other duties assigned or required to meet the business need.

Requirements

• Possess a background in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Possess extensive experience in infrastructure management within AWS.
• Possess a solid foundation in writing Terraform code to deploy and maintain large infrastructure solutions gained through at least 2 years of experience.
• Have 2+ years of experience deploying and configuring applications and systems with Ansible Tower or Ansible Automation Platform.
• Be able to develop and deliver technical training materials and step-by-step labs or tutorials for end-users.
• Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge language gaps between development teams, operations teams, and business stakeholders.
• Be able to work in an Agile environment with SCRUM or Kanban methodologies.
• Be able to work in an ITIL/ITSM environment with ServiceNow.
