About the position

The Cloud Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Deltek is responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of cloud-based services. This role involves troubleshooting complex issues, managing SaaS deployments, and providing support for new customers. The SRE will work closely with various teams to maintain high service uptime and implement automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex problems and provide software fault diagnosis.
• Manage SaaS server/storage deployments including promotion process and image management.
• Assist with virtual server maintenance and software upgrades for Cloud Products.
• Monitor system stability and performance to ensure service uptime.
• Provision assistance to new SaaS customers, including database implementation and server configuration.
• Perform customer-initiated service requests, including database restores and environment creation.
• Identify areas for automation or scripting to improve efficiency.
• Work with the SaaS Operations infrastructure team to implement system upgrades via automation software.
• Monitor system resource utilization and trends for problem management and capacity planning.
• Execute database management and tuning activities.
• Document system architectures and operational processes.
• Share knowledge and provide training to team members.
• Create and implement monitoring and security procedures.

Requirements

• 1+ years supporting enterprise customer-facing computing platforms and systems, preferably ERP systems.
• 2+ years supporting complex IT infrastructures, including Cloud platforms.
• Proven ability to quickly learn new software technologies.
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Customer service focus is essential.
• Diverse technical interests including Microsoft, SQLServer, Oracle, virtualization, and Linux.
• Experience with public cloud providers, preferably AWS.
• Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
• Experience with automated deployment technologies and enterprise monitoring tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Deltek products is a plus.
