The Cloud Success Manager for the Air Force at Oracle plays a pivotal role in overlaying sales personnel with specialized cloud migration expertise and providing general technical assistance to Air Force clients. This position is integral to a matrixed sales team, where client success and satisfaction are paramount. As a key, client-facing member of the sales team, the Cloud Success Manager is responsible for architecting technical solutions and developing and executing solution strategies tailored for the GDI/Air Force market. This role involves assisting new clients in formulating cloud migration strategies and providing hands-on assistance or coordinating efforts when necessary. The focus is laser-sharp on increasing cloud consumption as swiftly as possible, both with new workloads and existing or adjacent workloads. In addition to managing solution opportunities to secure the necessary resources for all qualified opportunities, the Cloud Success Manager leads teams in the sales process to establish market visibility and deal visibility. This includes presenting and demonstrating solutions to high-level clients and industry conference attendees. The role may also involve providing training to field sales teams on industry solutions. Building and maintaining a robust network while staying updated on specific industry or product knowledge is essential. The Cloud Success Manager partners with sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions, providing specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within the sales representatives' territories. The ideal candidate will possess subject matter expertise in the relevant industry and product space, knowledge of key industry leaders and management, and an understanding of Oracle's competition. Presentation and product demonstration experience are crucial, along with previous consultative selling experience. Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers are essential for success in this role. Travel may be required, and a BA/BS degree in a related field is necessary.
