About the position

The position involves managing and operating cloud technologies while providing technical support to customers. The role focuses on troubleshooting complex issues, ensuring compliance with security standards, and maintaining customer satisfaction through effective ticket management and service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with customers and team members to troubleshoot complex customer issues and document solutions.
  • Manage and operate AWS, Microsoft, and other public and private Cloud technologies.
  • Perform tasks related to risk management and security compliance, including vulnerability scanning and patching.
  • Complete data backup and restore tasks.
  • Manage assigned tickets to ensure SLA compliance and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide root-cause analysis and contribute to the knowledge base.
  • Make recommendations for continuous improvements to workflow, process, and technology.

Requirements

  • Experience and understanding of Cloud and Virtualization technologies.
  • Understanding of operating systems including Windows Server (2003, 2008, 2008 R2, 2012) and Red Hat Linux/CentOS.
  • Knowledge of services such as DNS, SMTP, SNMP, SSL, and SSH.
  • Experience supporting CMS/Collaboration systems like SharePoint, Sitecore, Drupal, and Wordpress.
  • Familiarity with Application Virtualization technologies such as AppV, XenApp, or Xendesktop.
  • Experience with Enterprise Systems like Exchange, Dynamics, and Active Directory.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes including Service Desk, Incident, Problem, Change, and Configuration Management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including analytic, organization, and customer service skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work a 24/7/365 schedule.

Nice-to-haves

  • Related technology certification preferred (AWS Solution Architect/SysOps, MCSA/RHCT/SCSA/LPIC, Server+, Network+, or Security+ certification).
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience desirable.
