About the position

The Cloud System Administrator role at Robert Half involves managing and supporting cloud infrastructure, monitoring tools, backup and disaster recovery plans, and privileged access management solutions. The position requires expertise in various cloud environments, particularly Azure, AWS, and VMware, and focuses on ensuring the reliability and security of cloud-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Work efficiently on Cloud Infrastructure, focusing on Azure, AWS, and VMware Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) environments.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform to manage and provision cloud-based IT systems.
• Configure, manage, and validate monitoring systems using tools like PRTG, Nagios, or similar.
• Deploy, maintain, and test backups and disaster recovery plans, particularly within Azure, AWS, and VMware environments.
• Implement and manage privileged access management (PAM) solutions such as CyberArk, Thycotic, or similar as part of a zero trust strategy.
• Support and manage integrations between various systems and technologies.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action.
• Maintain accurate customer credit records.
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a Cloud System Administrator role or similar
• Strong proficiency in Amazon CloudWatch and Amazon EC2
• Familiarity with Ansible and Atlassian Jira
• Experience with Auto Scaling and API Development
• Proven expertise in Automation and AWS Technologies
• Knowledge of Backup Technologies and Cluster Analysis
• Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues
• Excellent communication skills with a customer-service orientation
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator would be advantageous
• Familiarity with security principles and application
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
